Application under Section 6 of Right to Information Act 2005
Subject: Information regarding functioning of the shelters for citizens in distress.
Respected Sir,
Kindly provide me certified copy of all information regarding the subject especially,
1. Please provide full list of shelters run by or in association with the mission, for Indian citizens, total square feet, number of rooms (distinguished by individual/shared occupancy) and current number of inmates.
2. If there are any categories, such as by type of inmate such as
A) who run away from employers, B) stranded without adequate or affordable accommodation or no longer supported by their sponsors, Etc., Please mention full list.
3. How many shelters are maintained by the mission for workers who run away from employers? Please provide list of shelters and maximum accommodation capacity and current number of inmates
4. How many shelters are maintained by the mission for Indians who are stranded without adequate or affordable accommodation or no longer supported by their sponsors? Please provide list of shelters and maximum accommodation capacity and current number of inmates.
5. Does the mission have any plan for acquiring more shelters? Please list the requirements and possible solutions under consideration along with timelines.
6. Facilities provided for inmates like avg area for each inmate (m2), Bed, mattress, blankets, soap, towel, food etc.
7. How many inmates are paying for their food or stay? and how many full sponsored, and partial?
8. Documents and criteria required to be admitted in the shelter and the historical time records of each of the received applications (accepted, rejected, on hold) for the past 3 financial years.
9. List of current inmates in the shelter with following details. Name, arrival date in Saudi Arabia, arrival date in the shelter, profession in iqama.
10. Among current inmates, what is the longest duration of stay, what is the shortest duration of stay as of now, what is the average duration of stay for the past 3 years?
11. How many in the shelter are sick and unable to work?
12. How many in the shelter are sick due to infectious diseases?
13. How many in the shelter are quarantined due to infectious diseases?
14. How many living in the shelter are currently working and earning?
15. How many admin, maintenance, healthcare workers are staffed to run and maintain the shelters? Please provide details by shelter and if shared, provide details.
16. How many cases have been filed in court to obtain the dues and pending benefits?
17. How many inmates in the shelter have cases filed against them by their sponsors?
18. In how many cases, the mission have provided legal assistance.
19. Total expenses incurred by the mission for maintaining the shelter for the financial years 2018-19,2019-2020 and 2020-2021
20. How many tickets have been provided by mission for the inmates for the financial years 2018-19,2019-2020 and 2020-2021
21. What are the sources of funds for maintain the shelters and how much was received from each source for the financial years 2018-19,2019-2020 and 2020-2021
22. What has been the allocated budget and spend for each shelter for the financial years 2018-19,2019-2020 and 2020-2021
23. What is the average expense per inmate per day as of financial years 2018-19,2019-2020 and 2020-2021
