Dear,
Mr Arvind Sawant
Honorable Member of Parliament.

Subject: Stranded Indians (Maharashtrians) in Saudi Arabia.

1. They are stuck here in Saudi Arabia from last 2 months and are living in very difficult situation and waiting to be repatriated to India.
2. I have attached herewith the list of people whom I know and they are in touch to support each other during this difficult time. There are many other Maharashrians stuck in different parts of Saudi Arabia and the number can be more.

3. I would like to bring to your attention that many of us have lost jobs and still we are required to pay hotel bills and waiting for call from embassy to be evacuated from this country as there is no other option. As the time is passing by we are losing our patience and hopes.

4. Few of us are having/facing following problems:

1. Medical Issues
2. There are pregnant ladies
3. Medical emergency at home with parents and partner
4. Expiry of visa
5. Money and Food Problems

6. I appreciate “Mission Vande Bharat” which was announced by Government of India and rightly after it was announced, we have followed all instruction like filling in repatriation forms at Embassy website, we also have registered ourselves at Maharashtra repatriations portal. We are in regular touch with our embassies with all possible ways like twitter, Facebook, Email, Phone calls, etc.
7. This is very heart-breaking that we still don't have a single flight to Mumbai during “Vande Bharat Mission Phase 1 as well as in Phase 2” and other state is not allowing us to land also Indian embassy from Saudi Arabia is not shortlisting our names due to different state. Please tell us where will we go? As we came to know that there are flights from Saudi Arabia up-to 23.05.2020 to different destination in India, we are hoping for Phase 3 announcement at the earliest and positively with Maharashtra flights from Saudi Arabia. I know there are many cases in Maharashtra but please make some arrangements and we are pleading you to allow flight from Saudi Arabia to Mumbai or any part of Maharashtra as per below:
a) Jeddah to Mumbai
b) Riyadh to Mumbai
c) Dammam to Mumbai
8. We do not know that, if this is due to centre or state government decision but as we came to know from embassy that there are no flights to Maharashtra because pending permission/ flight to Maharashtra.
9. As residence of Maharashtra, we are humbly requesting you to look into this matter.
10. Awaiting your support and immediate response and thanking you in advance on behalf of stranded Maharashtrians in Saudi Arabia.

Dear Sir(s)
With utmost concern & anxiety we reaching out to you for support .
1. Its been more than 60 days since the curfew here, our resources and mental health is deteriorating day by day ,We do not have any clue on progress on the current situation .
2. We do not have support system here like Family, Labor Camps , we belong people came on Business Visa , short stint , frequent travelers ,requires to support the family back home.
3. We do have chronic patients whose medicines are over and substitutes are nor available here in KSA , which makes situation more grim
4. We foresee a 24 hour curfew implementation Gov Authorities here soon , once implemented , it will be very difficult to manage here . Saudi Arabia already implemented 24 Hour curfew at few cities.
5. Since the VandeBharathMission , there has not been a single flight from Saudi Arabia to any cities to Maharashtra .
6. We Personally aware of many people , who are distressed beyond measure & looking forward to return to homes .
7.We do understand the quarantine requirement & will adhere to the same .
8. We are afraid of situation , when medical system has to choose between nationals or expatriates here .
9. We are less vulnerable , as there is no community transmission as of now here in Saudi Arabia .

We request your support to reach home before situation gets important & urgent & Sir,may you please intervene to facilitate our return at your earliest convenience .

Thanks in advance

Dear Sir,

I hope you are doing well and are in good health.

As per our conversation over the phone, i am sending you the pleading letter to evacuate us from Saudi Arabia, on behalf of Maharashtrians stranded here.

To,

Mr. Arvind Sawant

Honorable Member of Parliament.

Subject: Stranded Indians (Maharashtrians) in Saudi Arabia.

Dear Mr. Sawant,

This is with respect to evacuation of Indian Citizens to their home country. There are Indians stuck here in Saudi Arabia for the last 2 months since the flights have been suspended, some have been here for longer than 3 months and their visa expire due to overstay and have been extended once already. Most of them are living in very difficult situation and waiting to be repatriated to India. It is most unfortunate that so many Indians belonging to the state of Maharashtra are not given an opportunity to travel home when there have been efforts from many other states even those that do not have direct international flights.

I have attached herewith a list of people who I know and am in touch with through a common group to support each other through this difficult time. However, there are many other Maharashtrians stuck in different parts of Saudi Arabia which I believe the embassy & consulate have better visibility of.

I would like to bring to your attention that many of us have lost our jobs when stuck here due to flight suspensions and yet incurring hotel bills while the company’s have lifted their hands as we are no longer their employees.

We are all waiting for call from embassy to be evacuated from this country as there are no other options, as time is passing we are losing our patience and hope. Few of us also have medical issues, there are pregnant ladies stuck here and waiting to be repatriated, if it takes any longer they may enter the state when they would not even be allowed to travel, some have medical emergency at home with parents or partner.

We appreciate “Mission Vande Bharat” which was announced by Government of India and rightly after it was announced, we have followed all instructions for repatriation such as forms at Embassy website, patiently waiting for flight schedules to come awaiting phone calls etc. , we also registered ourselves at Maharashtra repatriations portal and we are in regular touch with our embassies with all possible ways like twitter, Email, Phone calls.

It is very heart-breaking to see that while flights to Mumbai although few have come from far off destinations we still don't have a single flight to Mumbai from Saudi Arabia during “Vande Bharat Mission” and we don’t find them in the forthcoming schedules either. We are also not being allowed to travel to other states where we are still willing to be quarantined for the instructed duration and then travel to our homes or even be taken direct to our homes on landing and then be quarantines. Please tell us where shall we go? We know there are many cases of COVID-19 in Maharashtra but please make some arrangements and we are pleading you to allow flights from Saudi Arabia to Mumbai or any part of Maharashtra perhaps to Pune.

We do not know that, if this is a central or state government decision but we came to know from embassy that there are no flights to Maharashtra because pending permission from Maharashtra state.

As residents of Maharashtra, we are humbly requesting you to look into this matter.

Awaiting your support and immediate favorable response and thanking you in advance on behalf of stranded Maharashtrians in Saudi Arab
