Request to provide following information on my Refund request for flight booked under VandeBharatMission (VBM) on 08-Jun-2020.
Flight Details : AI0188 Toronto (YYZ) to Chennai (MAA) Date of Flight : 17-June-2020
Attempt 1 : Amount deducted from card ticket not issued via AirIndia Web
Amount paid : 6665.28 CAD (Rs. 3 lakh 75 thousand)
Attempt 2 : Ticket issued via AirIndia Mobile App. Second leg of Itinerary cancelled by Air India without notice after booking. So cancellation initiated by me.
Amount paid : 6665.28 CAD (Rs. 3 lakh 75 thousand)
Total amount stuck with Air India : (Rs. 7 lakh 50 thousand). Im a STRANDED INDIAN in Canada
Attached proofs for bank transaction, issued itinerary and cancel receipt
Please provide following information:
1) When will the refund be processed?
2) Why the queries on cancellation and refund to ecommerce@airindia.in, mobilebooking@airindia.in has not provided any confirmation of receipt of the concern?
3) Why both online booking helpdesk numbers as provided in Air India website is not operational? Customer service asks to contact these numbers for refund initiation on failed transactions but unable to contact ecommerce team.
4) Why the AI0188 issued Itinerary for Toronto to Chennai via Delhi scheduled for 17-Jun was cancelled within 24 hours of booking? When MEA GoI website and press note issued by CGI Toronto still shows this flight as scheduled as on 09-June 7:40 PM EDT. Why contradicting schedules posted by Air India and Ministry of External Affairs.
